DemoSuite is completely separate from the tutorials we produce, and as such, deserves it's own FAQ page. We've tried to cover most of the common questions below. But if you do have additional questions, feel free to contact us as we're always happy to help!

TopWhat is DemoSuite?

DemoSuite is a customizable application that lets hosting customers view their host's flash tutorials without having to search for them on the host's website. The DemoSuite Flash Player is a Windows-based application that runs on the customer's desktop, and plays all the host's tutorials from there.

TopWho is DemoSuite for?

DemoSuite is for hosting companies who want to give their customers a better way to access their flash tutorials. The hosting company purchases the application, then uses it to create a customizable, downloadable application or "flash player" for their customers.

TopAre there actually two (2) applications in DemoSuite?

Yes and no. There is only one application that ships with DemoSuite when you purchase it. However, the web hosting company then uses this application to automatically generate a second application, called the DemoSuite Flash Player. It is this second application that the hosting company can customize, and make available to their customers.

TopWhat aspects of the Flash Player can I customize?

First and foremost, you can define exactly what tutorials you want your customers to have access to. You do this by setting up "Tutorial Categories" and then "Tutorial Titles". Your customers will be presented with a list of categories in their Flash Player, and they can click on those categories to expand and see all available tutorials within them.

Aside from setting up your tutorial lists, you can also add your own company logo, select custom colors for several areas within the Flash Player, and choose from among 6 pre-designed skins so your Flash Player can match the colors of your own website.

You can also add up to three (3) icons for "Quick Links" that will be displayed below the list of Tutorial Categories and Titles. You can have these link to web pages of your choice, or even have them link to an email address so people can easily send you (or your support department) an email. You can use any of the supplied icons, or upload your own custom icons.

TopHow much programming knowledge do I need?

None! There is an intuitive "Wizard" in DemoSuite that walks you through the setup and customization of your DemoSuite Flash Player in a step-by-step process. There is absolutely no programming skills required!

TopWhat if I need help?

We've put together extensive help files that explain every aspect of DemoSuite. These help files are available from within DemoSuite. If you require further assistance, feel free to consult our forums or contact us either by phone, email or Live Chat. All DemoSuite licenses come with free technical support.

TopAfter I design my Flash Player, how do I get it to my customers?

Once you've designed your Flash Player, you export it from DemoSuite as a .EXE file. You then simply upload it to your server, and make it available for your customers to download from your website. It is just 1 file, and will be called whatever you want it to be called (you set this in DemoSuite prior to exporting it).

We recommend including a link to download your DemoSuite Flash Player in your welcome emails, and also display it prominently on your support page.

TopDo I have to use DemoWolf tutorials?

No! The beauty of DemoSuite is that it will work with any tutorials produced by any tutorial producer. The only requirement is that the tutorials be in SWF format, as it is the SWF files that the DemoSuite Flash Player link to.

TopCan I display my custom tutorials in DemoSuite?

Absolutely! You can even display a custom flash intro to your website if you wish. The DemoSuite Flash Player will play any SWF files you want it to.

TopCan I create my own custom categories?

Yes. you can create as many (or as few) categories as you wish. The more categories you create, the more organized the "menu tree" in DemoSuite will be. You are not limited to using the categories as per the way you bought your tutorials. For example, when you buy the cPanel series from DemoWolf, you get 29 tutorials. You can either setup 1 category for all cPanel tutorials and put all 29 tutorials in there, or you can create several categories and organize the 29 tutorials into the categories you choose. You have complete flexibility when creating categories and assigning tutorials to them.

TopCan I create my own custom Flash Player skin?

If you do not like one of the 6 pre-designed skins available for the DemoSuite Flash Player, we can create a custom skin for you for an extra cost. Contact us for details.

TopHow many of my customers can download and use the DemoSuite Flash Player?

There is no limit. It can be downloaded and used by an unlimited number of customers for free.

TopDo the actual tutorials get downloaded too?

No. When your customers download the DemoSuite Flash Player, it is just the player that gets downloaded, not the tutorials as well. The DemoSuite Flash Player then communicates with your server to retrieve the list of categories and tutorials, then streams your tutorials through the Flash Player directly from your server.

TopWill my customers have to update their DemoSuite Flash Player if I add new tutorials or categories?

No! You can update your Flash Movie File (.FML) at any time, with new tutorials, new categories, etc. Every time your customer launches their DemoSuite Flash Player, it will communicate with your .FML file on your server, and display the most up-to-date list of categories and movies in their player. The only time your customers would ever have to re-download the Flash Player is if you decided to change the skin, colors or custom links you provide in the Flash Player.

TopHow do I purchase DemoSuite?

You can actually download DemoSuite from www.demowolf.com/demosuite before getting your license. However, when you launch the application it will ask you for your license information.... and that must be entered correctly before the application will run. To obtain a license, send an email to info@demowolf.com with your name, email address and company name and domain name. We will then send you the license you need to run DemoSuite, and instructions on getting started.

TopCan I resell DemoSuite?

No, we do not have a reseller program for DemoSuite. It is currently offered as a free application to any web hosting company.

TopI understand the next version of DemoSuite (v2.0) is already in development. What enhancements can we expect?

Well, the best is yet to come! The next major version of DemoSuite (expected by the end of 2008) will not only allow customers to view your flash tutorials from their desktops, but will also allow them to initiate a Live Chat session, submit support Tickets, and view FAQ directly from their DemoSuite Flash Player. DemoSuite will become a complete "Support Console" and communications link between customer and hosting provider.

TopBut I already have a ticket system and live chat system. Can I still use DemoSuite?

Yes! DemoSuite 2.0 will give you the option of using our new Chat and Ticket systems, or you'll be able to integrate your existing chat and ticket systems with your DemoSuite 2.0.

TopThat sounds fantastic! Will there be an extra cost?

DemoSuite 2.0 with integrated Chat and Ticket systems will cost more than DemoSuite (which is currently free). However, anyone with a valid DemoSuite license at the time DemoSuite 2.0 is released will get a discount on DemoSuite 2.0.
